I can remember my very first taste of beer. I didn't like it. It was not at all like the beverages I had consumed in my youth.
But then my palate matured. I began to taste the subtle differences in the different types of beer. Dark vs light, heavy vs watery, cold vs warm, sweet vs bitter.
My appreciation grew even more as I was invited to a friend's house to make "home brew". The recipe's that were followed to the "T" reminded me of my organic chemistry lab days in college.
